Foshan Mission Day Base & On-site Activities

With everyone’s support, we have finalized a large gathering venue for Saturday at Carrianna Hotel. For the official Mission Day on Sunday, our gathering point will be set up near Tap o Park, at Chudi 628 Cultural & Creative Studio.

Venue: Chudi 628 Cultural & Creative Studio [CN: 初地六二八文化创意工作室]

Opening Hours: 9:00–18:00
Navigation Address: Next to Foshan Hongsheng Memorial Hall, No. 34 Xiang’an Street, Zumiao Subdistrict, Chancheng District
Nearby Metro Station: Pujun Beilu Station, Guangfo Line
Nearby Portal: Blessed Mural [CN: 有福壁畫]

Just like the Saturday venue at Carrianna Hotel, the Sunday venue at Chudi 628 is also located along the Mission Day mission routes.

Notably, if you choose the following six missions as your minimum Mission Day completion route — Liang’s Garden [CN: 梁园], Kuaizi Spring Couplets [CN: 快子挥春], Legacy of Luoshui [CN: 洛水流芳], Zumiao Sanctuary [CN: 祖庙圣域], Lingnan Tiandi [CN: 岭南天地], and The First Land of Foshan [CN: 佛山初地] — our Mission Day Base will be right near the final mission, The First Land of Foshan.

For Agents planning to enjoy Foshan Mission Day at a lighter pace, this is a perfect place to stop by after completing your six missions, take a break, have some tea, check in, and relax.

There are also several beautifully designed mission sets in the surrounding area. Interested Agents are welcome to explore them as well.

In terms of timing, we will follow the venue’s opening hours. From 9:00 to 18:00, members of the organizing team will be waiting for everyone at the Mission Day Base.

We have prepared a series of gifts and small activities for all Agents. After arriving at the Mission Day Base, you can:

  1. Pick up your welcome gift set
  2. Register your Mission Day completion status
  3. Claim your participation / full-clear commemorative card
  4. Join the Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw / claim the Extra-Fun Passcode
  5. Purchase on-site merch / pick up pre-ordered merch
  6. Exchange BIOCARDs
  7. Chat and hang out with other Agents

We are also looking for sponsors and prize donations for the Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw. Details are listed below.

In addition, we are planning to set up a June 7 Full-Clear Honor Roll for the Agents who manage to complete all 24 missions.

We fully understand that full-clearing Foshan Mission Day on the event day will be a serious challenge. The June 7 Full-Clear Honor Roll is created to recognize and commemorate those top-tier Agents who overcome all difficulties and conquer the challenge within the limited time available. This achievement deserves to be remembered.

Agents who complete all 24 missions before 23:59 on June 7 and complete registration/verification either on-site or online will have their Agent Name listed on the June 7 Full-Clear Honor Roll. The list will be featured in the event channel, event blog, and the organizing team’s recap article for Agents around the world to admire. Registration details will be explained below.

Below, we will introduce the gifts and activities one by one.

1. Welcome Gift Set

This is a gift set prepared by the organizing team for every Agent coming to Foshan for Mission Day. It includes several mission-related items that we hope will help you on your journey.

Available at:
Saturday IFS afternoon session / Sunday Mission Day Base

Eligibility:
Any Ingress Agent who comes to the venue can receive one. No mission completion is required.

The welcome gift set includes:

Mission Day Theme Card

We have redesigned and refined the coordinate symbols of the 24 mission locations, naming them with more familiar and recognizable names. We hope this card will serve as a keepsake of your journey.

Foshan Mission Day Mission Guide Leaflet

This folded leaflet includes important Mission Day notes, basic information for all 24 missions, and a mission map. We hope it helps you plan and begin your operation.

Foshan Mission Day Theme Hand Fan

A simple hand fan, prepared in the hope that it brings you a small breeze during the hot summer day.

Foshan Enlightened / Foshan Resistance Faction Logo Fridge Magnet

Provided by the local Foshan Enlightened and Resistance communities, these are small gifts from the local community for Agents traveling from afar.

Each Agent may choose one of the two designs.
Each design is limited to 250 pieces, available while supplies last.

Foshan Mission Day Theme Paper Bag

Carefully designed and simply presented, this paper bag is here to help you carry home the memories you collect throughout the journey.

2. Registering Your Mission Day Completion Status

After registering your Mission Day completion status, you will be eligible to receive a participation commemorative card or a full-clear commemorative card, and to join the lucky draw.

Registration is divided into on-site registration and online registration.

2.1 On-site Registration

At the Mission Day Base, show your Profile page to the event staff. Staff will check the number of completed missions and confirm your eligibility.

2.2 Online Registration

Online registration is generally only available to Agents who have completed 18 missions or all 24 missions.

The process is as follows:

  • Use another phone to record your screen, or use screen recording on your own phone. Start from your in-game account page, enter your Profile page, and scroll down until the completed mission icons are visible.
  • Send the video privately to any member of the organizing team, such as one of the visitor group admins, for verification. Once you receive a reply saying “confirmed,” your registration is complete.

Important note:
Registering your Mission Day completion status is not the same thing as receiving the in-game Mission Day medal count. This is also not a checkout process like some past Mission Day events. It is only a step for the follow-up event activities and is not mandatory.

To receive the in-game Mission Day medal count +1, please make sure you complete any 6 Foshan Mission Day missions between 00:00 and 23:59 local time on June 7.

2.3 Registration Deadline for the June 7 Full-Clear Honor Roll

Agents who complete all 24 missions before 23:59 on June 7 and complete the registration process will also be listed on the June 7 Full-Clear Honor Roll.

If you do not want your name to appear on the Honor Roll, please tell the organizing team during registration, or complete your registration after 23:59 on June 7.

3. Participation / Full-Clear Commemorative Cards

After completing the registration process described above, Agents may receive a participation commemorative card or a full-clear commemorative card, depending on the number of missions completed.

Post-event Pickup

After the event, you may contact the organizing team separately to arrange an offline pickup or postage-paid delivery.

Post-event pickup time, location, and method will need to be discussed separately. The organizing team will try our best to assist, but we cannot guarantee a fixed pickup time, fixed pickup location, or that a post-event pickup can always be completed.

4. Just-for-Fun Passcode Lucky Draw / Extra-Fun Passcode Claim

These Passcodes are provided by Niantic Spatial for Foshan Mission Day. The contents are customized by the organizing team and include several in-game items plus one commemorative Portal Key.

After completing the registration process described above, Agents may receive the Just-for-Fun Passcode or the Extra-Fun Passcode, depending on the number of missions completed.

Just-for-Fun Passcode

Quantity: Limited to 400 codes, divided into three tiers.
Each code contains a varying number of Resonators and one commemorative Portal Key, in honor of all the footwork Agents put into the event. Details of the commemorative Key are listed below.

Eligibility: Agents who complete any 6 Foshan Mission Day missions may receive one. Available only on the event day.

How to receive: Join the Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw at the event venue.

Extra-Fun Passcode

Quantity: Limited to 100 codes.
Each code contains 1 Portal Fracker, 1 Apex, and one commemorative Portal Key, in honor of the great amount of energy consumed by Agents who complete all 24 missions. Details of the commemorative Key are listed below.

Eligibility: Agents who complete all 24 Foshan Mission Day missions may receive one. Available until June 10.

How to receive:
Agents who complete on-site registration may claim it directly at the venue.
Agents who complete online registration will receive the code directly after the organizing team confirms the registration.

Each Passcode may be redeemed only once per Agent. After June 10, the Passcodes will automatically expire and cannot be redeemed.

Agents who receive a Passcode may use it themselves or transfer/share it with someone else. Any issues caused by transfer, duplicate redemption, or expiration must be handled by the parties involved.

The Passcode items are not expensive or rare. They are purely just for fun.

4.1 Just-for-Fun Passcode Lucky Draw Rules

In short: every eligible Agent can draw until they receive one Just-for-Fun Passcode. If you also draw a sponsored prize, you may choose whether to accept it. Each Agent may accept at most one sponsored prize.

Lucky draw time:
June 7, 9:00–18:00

The prize pool includes 400 limited Just-for-Fun Passcodes and several prizes sponsored by other Agents.

Each eligible Agent may complete one round of the lucky draw. A round ends when the Agent receives one Just-for-Fun Passcode.

If an Agent draws a Just-for-Fun Passcode, the lucky draw process is complete.

If an Agent first draws a prize sponsored by another Agent, they may choose whether to claim it:

  • If they choose to claim it, after confirming and registering with the event staff, they may continue drawing until they draw a Just-for-Fun Passcode.
  • Each Agent may claim at most one sponsored prize. If an Agent has already claimed a sponsored prize and draws another sponsored prize again, the winning slip will be returned to the draw box and they will redraw until they draw a Just-for-Fun Passcode.
  • If the Agent does not like the sponsored prize, or does not want to contact the sponsor, they may return the winning slip to the draw box and draw again.

The organizing team will publish all sponsorship information and prize redemption status through a shared spreadsheet.

The organizing team will not collect, hold, or guarantee the redemption of sponsored prizes. After drawing a sponsored prize, the winner should contact the sponsor using the information on the slip. The winner and the sponsor will arrange the redemption details directly. If the sponsor fails to provide the corresponding prize, the sponsor is responsible for that issue.

The Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw is designed primarily as an on-site activity. We hope Agents can come to the venue and draw in person.

For Agents planning to full-clear, we recommend arranging your route so that you can pass by the Mission Day Base between 9:00 and 18:00 on June 7, have some fun with the draw, and then continue your journey.

If you cannot come to the Mission Day Base on the event day due to your schedule, we also provide proxy draw service for Agents who have completed 3 rows / 18 missions or more.

The remote draw deadline for the Just-for-Fun Passcode is 23:59 on June 7.

4.2 Sponsors Wanted: Support the Just-for-Fun Passcode Prize Pool

We welcome Agents to contribute prizes to the lucky draw pool and bring more surprises to Agents who complete the missions.

The general process and rules are as follows:

Agents who wish to sponsor prizes should contact any member of the organizing team through the visitor group or by private message before this Thursday. Please let us know the content and quantity of the prizes you would like to sponsor.

The organizing team will prepare draw slips in the format of:

@agent id + sponsored item

These slips will be placed into the draw box.

The actual item codes or sponsored physical items do not need to be handed over to the organizing team.

The organizing team will publish all sponsorship information and redemption status through a shared spreadsheet. Unless specifically requested by the sponsor, the organizing team will not collect, hold, or guarantee the redemption of sponsored prizes.

After drawing a sponsored prize, the winner should contact the sponsor using the information on the slip. The winner and sponsor will arrange redemption details directly. If the sponsor fails to provide the corresponding prize, the sponsor is responsible for that issue.

The prize pool is divided into two types: the regular pool and the full-clear pool. Sponsors may choose which pool their prizes go into.

Sponsored prizes may include, but are not limited to:

  • Small personal gifts
  • Self-made Ingress merch
  • Official merch
  • In-game Passcodes

Cash prizes will not be accepted.

The regular pool is the Just-for-Fun Passcode prize pool. The draw rules are described above.

The full-clear pool is separate from the Just-for-Fun Passcode prize pool. Details are as follows.

4.3 Full-Clear Pool Draw / Claim Rules

The full-clear pool starts with no prizes. If sponsors provide additional prizes specifically for Agents who complete all 24 missions, those prizes will be distributed or drawn according to the sponsor’s preference.

By default, prizes that are directly claimable must be claimed on-site at the Mission Day Base. Whether pickup by another Agent or post-event pickup is supported will be decided by the prize sponsor.

If the sponsor does not specify a distribution method for the full-clear prize, the prize will be distributed by draw.

The default draw rules are:

  • Eligible Agents are those who complete all 24 missions before 23:59 on June 7.
  • Full-clear prizes will be numbered and randomly matched with eligible full-clear Agents.
  • The draw will be conducted online. The exact time is to be announced.
  • Prize redemption will follow the same method as the Just-for-Fun Passcode prize pool: the winner and sponsor will arrange redemption details directly.

The draw method and timing above are only the default plan. The final method will be based on the announcement made at the time of the draw.

4.4 About the Keys Included in the Just-for-Fun Passcode and Extra-Fun Passcode

The Key included in the Just-for-Fun Passcode is The Pilgrim [CN: 朝圣者].

According to legend, in the second year of Long’an during the Eastern Jin dynasty, AD 398, Tripitaka master Dharmayasas from Kapiśa, today’s Kashmir, came to the hill and built a simple hut to give Buddhist teachings.

He carried three small bronze Buddha statues by sea to Guangzhou, then came to Jihua Village in Nanhai, where he built a temporary shelter and spread Buddhist teachings.

In the second year of Zhenguan during the Tang dynasty, AD 628, local villagers saw light shining from this place at night. At the site of the old hut, they unearthed three bronze Buddha statues and a stone tablet. The tablet bore the couplet:

“A sacred land suddenly opens; a thousand years ago, the green hills belonged to the Buddha.
At the summit of the lotus, five hundred years later, teachings arise among the people.”

The horizontal inscription read:
“Tap o Temple Buddha.”

The villagers believed this was a sign of a blessed land. They decided to enshrine the three Buddha statues at the original site and built a Buddhist temple there. Jihua Village was then renamed Foshan, meaning “Buddha Mountain.” This is how Foshan got its name.

The statue at the Portal The Pilgrim [CN: 朝圣者] depicts Dharmayasas, the Tripitaka master from Kapiśa. We believe that giving Agents a Key to the statue connected to the origin of the name “Foshan” is a very fitting souvenir.

The Key included in the Extra-Fun Passcode is Foshan Iron Cannon [CN: 佛山铁炮].

Foshan Iron Cannon represents Foshan’s thousand-year history of ironworking.

According to historical research, Foshan’s ironworking industry can be traced back to the Southern Han period, AD 917–971. By the Ming dynasty, Foshan’s ironworking industry had developed into a large-scale industrial cluster known as the “Seven Trades of Iron Smelting and Casting.”

During the Qing dynasty, Foshan’s ironworking industry continued to flourish. By the Qianlong period, there were already more than 30,000 ironworking craftsmen.

Foshan produced a wide variety of ironware. In addition to the famous Guang-style iron pots, Foshan also produced farming tools, bells and ritual vessels, iron cannons and military equipment, temple bronze statues, and more.

Surviving Foshan ironware can still be found in many museums across China.

Foshan Iron Cannon [CN: 佛山铁炮] was forged during the Daoguang period of the Qing dynasty and was once used against British forces during the Opium War. Today, it remains physical evidence of Foshan’s now-vanished ironworking industry.

The Foshan Iron Cannon Portal is located inside the paid-entry area of Zumiao. Agents busy chasing a full clear may easily miss it.

In Cantonese slang, someone who is extremely capable or impressive may be described as “ba pao”, literally connected to the idea of a powerful cannon. Since Agents who can full-clear Foshan Mission Day are certainly very “ba pao,” we believe a Key to this historic cannon is the perfect full-clear souvenir.

Information about on-site merch sales, pre-order pickup, and BIOCARD exchange/redeem activities will be introduced in detail in the later article about Saturday’s event arrangements.

FAQ

Q: Is the minimum-completion / full-clear registration a checkout? Will not registering affect my Mission Day medal count?

A: No. The registration for minimum completion or full clear is only required for claiming commemorative event items. It is not a checkout.

If you do not wish to claim the participation souvenirs, you do not need to register.

Currently, Mission Day medal count is granted automatically after completing 6 missions. No check-in or checkout is required.

If you have completed 6 missions but do not see the medal count, please check whether the 6 missions were completed between 00:00 and 23:59 local time on June 7.

Q: I originally planned to full-clear but had to give up for various reasons. Because of my travel schedule, I also cannot reach the Mission Day Base before 18:00 to claim the participation card or join the lucky draw. What should I do?

A: The participation commemorative card is not limited by completion date or time. After the event, you may contact the organizing team to try arranging an offline pickup.

The Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw is designed primarily as an on-site activity at the Mission Day Base. Agents who complete only 6 or 12 missions should generally claim and draw on-site.

Agents who complete 18 missions or more and truly cannot arrive before 18:00 due to schedule reasons may refer to section 4.1 Just-for-Fun Passcode Lucky Draw Rules and ask the organizing team to draw on their behalf.

The remote draw deadline for the Just-for-Fun Passcode is 23:59 on June 7.

Q: I completed all 24 missions on the event day and finished online registration, but because of my schedule, I missed the Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw before 18:00. What should I do?

A: If you complete full-clear registration before 18:00, please authorize an on-site Agent or event staff member to draw on your behalf during registration, and provide proof of authorization.

Please refer to the Pickup by Another Agent section under 3.1 How to Claim for details.

If you complete full-clear registration after 18:00, you may refer to the Just-for-Fun Passcode Lucky Draw Rules and ask the organizing team to draw on your behalf.

Since everyone’s luck is different, we still recommend arranging your route so that you can pass by the Mission Day Base between 9:00 and 18:00 and draw in person whenever possible.

The remote draw deadline for the Just-for-Fun Passcode is 23:59 on June 7.

Q: Didn’t you already ask for sponsorship when selling merch earlier? Why are you asking again?

A: First, thank you to all Agents who previously sponsored the organizing team.

The previous sponsorship was provided in cash to support the organizing team. Those contributions have already been used for the venue, gifts, and various parts of the two-day event.

Some sponsors have also expressed that, beyond supporting the organizing team, they would like to give small personal gifts, self-made Ingress merch, or Passcodes directly to other Agents to make the event more fun.

That is why we came up with the idea of enriching the lucky draw prize pool.

These prizes will be given out through the draw. Winners will contact sponsors directly for redemption. Unless specifically requested by the sponsor, the organizing team will not act as the middleman for the prize itself.

Q: Your rules are too complicated. Can you just tell me clearly how many missions I need to complete, what I can get, and how to claim them?

A: Of course. Here is the simplified version:

Agents who complete 6 or 12 missions

That is, 1–2 rows:

  • Welcome gift set
  • Participation commemorative card
  • Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw

On-site pickup only

Agents who complete 18 missions or more

That is, 3 rows or more:

  • Welcome gift set
  • Participation commemorative card
  • Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw

Available through:

  • On-site pickup
  • Pickup by another Agent
  • Post-event pickup

Agents who complete all 24 missions

  • Welcome gift set
  • Participation commemorative card
  • Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw
  • Full-clear commemorative card
  • Extra-Fun Passcode claim

For detailed rules, please refer to:

  • Participation card / full-clear card claim method: 3.1 How to Claim
  • Just-for-Fun Passcode lucky draw rules and Extra-Fun Passcode claim rules: 4. Just-for-Fun Passcode Lucky Draw / Extra-Fun Passcode Claim and 4.1 Just-for-Fun Passcode Lucky Draw Rules
